What is raw feeding and why should i do it?
It’s all about feeding your dog the way nature intended, an idea initially introduced by Dr Ian Billinghurst BVSc (Hons) BSCAgr Dip Ed in his 1993 book 'give your dog a bone'. Raw Paws takes only the best products to make biologically appropriate meals for your furry family member.
At the end of the day; nature is indisputable. If you want to feed your dog a raw diet, it essentially means you will not be feeding your dog any cooked or processed food but a diet that mimics the evolutionary diet of dogs.
Raw Paws allows your dog to be fed a variety of raw meat and bones, fish, liver, other organs, eggs and some other things like greek yogurt, kelp, turmeric, parsley and spinach with the objective of your dog will receiving a balanced diet.

Whole eggs are a great source of magnesium, calcium, iron, folate, vitamins A, E & B6. Its best to feed omega 3 or free range eggs. Commercial eggs are likely to be sprayed with wax and other chemicals to improve their appearance so if you don't have access to farm fresh eggs then it is best to feed the eggs without the shell. Eggs are a good part of a raw diet and when fed regularly give your dogs coat a nice shiny look!
Should i feed my dog eggs?
What about fruit and vegetables?
This is a big debate among the raw feeding community. Some people do and others don't. They can be beneficial as supplemental feeding, If you want to add them its best to run them through a food processor or juicer as dogs cant get the full nutritional value from fruit and veg not physically broken down.

A lot of people choose not to feed them as dogs are most closely related to the grey wolf which typically doesn't eat vegetables. However in the summer months traces of berries can be found in the scat of wolves as they naturally forage for it themselves.
